Sam Leong
Managing Director of Same Way
Born in Macau. Studied in Japan in 1984 at Yokohama Academy of Broadcasting and Film (now known as Japan Academy of Moving Images) majoring in directing and scriptwriting. He returned to Hong Kong in 1988 and started his movie career with Golden Harvest and participated in the production of several grand scale movies. In 1999, he established Same Way Production Limited specializing in Hong Kong-Japan and Hong Kong-Mainland China joint productions, movies, dramas, commercials and license distribution. In 2000, he finished his directorial debut Maniacal Night. His is an independent movie-maker who comes off as a producer, a director and a writer. He's one of the new generation of Hong Kong film directors introduced in the "Hong Kong Film New Action" project by Hong Kong Film Development Council in 2009 and 2010.
